After reading so much about green issues over the last year, we decided to put our money where our mouth is and set up a website dedicated to living a green lifestyle. We have a Lift Share scheme, News and Tips on the latest green ideas and an opportunity for you to contribute, an Isle of Wight link an Ebay Shop and much more…

The idea is, you tell us what you think and what is going on in your area. The government is bringing in lots of new laws to do with environmentally friendly living but it seems that council policies vary so much from one area to another. We would like to know what's going on in your area in schools, workplaces, in homes and anywhere else. We will tell you our tried and tested green ideas which will usually save you money too.

I hope you like the name 'One Green Island' (it took me ages to come up with it!) We are based on the Isle of Wight which is sometimes known as the 'Green Isle' but One Green Island could also mean Great Britain or even the world.
