It's been great weather here on the Island and there's been an earthquake in Kent! We took our children for a bike ride. It's great to be able to get out and enjoy the countryside and it doesn't cost anything. I hate the way that children are automatically taken to the Cinema nowadays, as soon as a new film comes out. I might sound like a whinging old lady but those kinds of things used to be a treat for special occasions! Now children take that kind of thing for granted. Modern life and the problems associated with it such as obesity, depression and debt all seem to have come about in a time when we are all better off and have far more than our grandparents ever had.
